A group of astronomers were taken by surprise while analyzing the infrared light coming from a black hole surroundings.

NASA announced yesterday, they identified the trace of unexpected compounds: silica that creates sand, marble compounds, rubies and sapphires.

Even though scientists know that intergalactic dust is the building material for planets and stars, they were not expecting these minerals in a black hole environment.
